  • Activity: Making a script to make Tobi walk on stage.

Lesson Outline

What is a Program? - 15 minutes
  • Define program
  • Break down the process of programming into three stages:
    • Planning
    • Writing
    • Testing and debugging
  • Make an anlogy of process of changing cloths to understand the meaning of program
Introduction to PictoBlox - 15 minutes
  • Introduce PictoBlox – Scratch programming tool to students.
  • Explain the interface:
    • Stage
    • Sprite 
    • Script
    • Blocks
Activity - 25 minutes

Make a program where Tobi is walking on the stage. This will clear the concept of stage, script, blocks and script.

Wrapping up the lesson - 5 minutes
