Lesson Overview

  • In this activity, students will make a line following robot that will follow a black line in the white region using IR sensors.
  • During the activity, students will go through the following activities:
    • Assembly of the robot.
    • Circuitry and testing the circuit.
    • Calibration of sensors.

Lesson Outline

Introduction and Demonstration of the robot - 10 minutes
Assembly of the robot - 10 minutes
Circuitry - 10 minutes
  • Connect the motors to evive.
  • Connect the IR sensors to evive.
Programming the robot to show IR sensor state on evive display - 20 minutes
Calibration of IR Sensor - 10 minutes
