With an aim to uplift the Women hold i.e currently 26% of tech-related roles in the global workforce, according to Gartner Research, AWS Girls’ Tech Day was initiated to educate, inspire, and empower girls and young women aged 8 to 24 to pursue careers in technology. It enabled future female builders to Think Big and ignite their imaginations through STEM. Igniting the vision of Learning by Doing, STEMpedia crafted a customized AWS theme project that opened doors for volunteers attending sessions to provide support at all 4 centres in USA, India, Indonesia and UK.

Impact

A one-of-a-kind event that brought together 400 middle school students through collaborative learning into Coding, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR and engaging Tech Talks encouraging girls and young women to DREAM BIG and pursue careers in STEM.

To nurture creativity, curiosity and imagination of young minds, AMC (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) introduced Activity-based learning methods in government schools. In order to transform school education and enhance lab infrastructure, the government along with STEMpedia fostered adoption of modern technologies. This child-centred approach will ensure that students stay engaged and stimulated to develop essential 21st-century skills.

Impact

STEMpedia has extended its help in setting up a STEM and Robotics lab in 40 schools of Ahmedabad that are equipped with working models, STEM-Robotics kits, Smart Panels, and 3D Educational Charts along with hosting Teacher Training programs.

“Robotex For Rural” and “Girls Who Build Robots” by Robotex aimed at breaking social barriers that undermined bright kids from exploring their potential in STEM education. This two-level program provides education to students from less privileged backgrounds, the basics of coding, programming, AI and kit-based training for robotics. While ‘Robotex for Rural’ focuses on underprivileged students, ‘Girls Who Build Robots’ seeked to break gender barriers in STEM education by inspiring larger participation of girls.

Impact

STEMpedia, in collaboration with Robotex India, was able to unlock the tinkering potential of 24,000 students across India by training them in the basics of Robotics, Coding, and technology and providing them with accompanying learning material and AI & Robotics kits.

The Eklavya Innovations Learning Lab at ARTPARK has been designed to nurture life-long self-learners by providing them a space where they can engage in self-learning and experimentation. Aligned with the NEP 2020 vision of ‘learning to unlearn’, Eklavya Innovations Lab promotes innovators and collaborators to engage in the topics of great individual interest to them. The Learning Sandbox will give the learners – be it students or teachers – access to AI & Robotics kits, teaching equipments, digital learning material and assessments tools.

STEMpedia has helped Eklavya Innovations Learning Lab to implement their vision by providing and managing an engaging hardware and software ecosystem that bridges the learning gap between trainers and students.

Codeavour 2022 is the biggest Global AI & Coding Competition hosted annually by STEMpedia at an International Level for students of Age Group 7-18 years, where they make innovative projects in PictoBlox with the destined purpose of making the world a better place. They get an opportunity to explore the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Robotics with interactive activities and projects and to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication the four C’s of the 21st-Century Skills!

Impact

STEMpedia in collaboration with 5+ country partners, 40+ training partners, 15+ community partners, and 1000+ academic partners has impacted 300,000+ students till date. Students have been awarded with prizes of $40,000+ in four editions of Codeavour.

SBI Cards’ “Pehel” is an initiative that aims to unlock the potential of young minds in STEM Studies, Technology and Science by setting up 25 (Atal Tinkering Labs) ATLs, Robotics and STEM labs across various government schools in Delhi-NCR & Haryana. Our goal was to provide skill education through STEMpedia’s crafted state-of-the-art equipments on electronics, robotics, sensors, along with 3D printers and computers.

Impact

STEMpedia partnered with Sumangal Foundation for this program under the Tinkerthon event with an aim to encourage a conceptual understanding of Coding, Science and Mathematics through practical applications. STEMpedia provided study material, project kits, lab setups and complete training to Sumangal trainers

Train the trainers and the students will flourish – with this goal to pursue, Colombia ICT program set out to train its teachers in order to inspire students. With a modernised and tech-savvy classroom ecosystem, teachers will create an engaging learning environment. The program aims to help teachers develop their understanding of ICT tools, IoT and Robotics and enable them to use tech solutions in their classroom confidently.

Impact

STEMpedia has helped over 235 teachers in Bogotá by providing them curriculum to develop their ICT and Robotics skills in Espanol. With a hands-on experience at using evive starter kit, evive IoT kit, Bio-tech kit and Agri-tech kit, teachers were equipped to infuse their teaching with technology.

Goa is the first state to revamp the ICT curriculum to include coding and robotics with CARES Goa (Coding And Robotics Education in Schools) Scheme 2021. STEMpedia has implemented the Yearlong Robotics Program in 450 selected schools in Goa as a part of CARES Goa. The lab will be equipped with an enriching hardware and software ecosystem, allowing students to learn 21st-century skills like coding, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Tinkering.

Impact

In 2021, 65,600 students and 540 teachers from government and government-aided schools in Goa benefitted from the coding program. Their PMU team with STEMpedia is adopting 20 ATLs to pilot the Yearlong Robotics Program.

Arrow Electronics provided Close the Gap, Kenya to prepare young children with exposure to DIY electronics and Robotics activities. STEMpedia provided more than 100 STEM education kits, learning material and training for trainers of Tech Kidz Africa to reach maximum children in the region.

Ericsson collaborated with Girls Scout in their celebration of innovation, collaboration and success with all coworkers who joined hands to make Girls in ICT Ericsson STEM activity a success. STEMpedia helped get the necessary hardware, STEM activities, and support. This way their vision transformed into reality making it truly phenomenal.

CSRBox’s Bharat e-Shiksha, Ahmedabad

Bharat e-Shiksha is a flagship initiative under Bharat Cares (social impact arm of CSRBOX) that aims to make quality education accessible with a hybrid model of learning for underprivileged students by setting up a Digital Learning Centre. STEMpedia provided the required AI & Robotics Education setup and student training at DLC, Vejalpur, Ahmedabad.

Teacher Training Program for Gurushala - Pratham Education

Gurushala is a free-of-cost online teacher training & professional development initiative implemented by Pratham Education Foundation, funded by Vodafone Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd. STEMpedia was a content collaborator for blogs and curated courses for introducing kids to AI in its goal to train school teachers in effective use of digital technology in classrooms.
